Do I have to be sober to enjoy it?

Regardless of your relationship with alcohol, we offer a welcoming, safe space for our community to unwind with a clear mind in a positive, alcohol-free environment. Some are sober curious while others follow a strict program, and our mission is to be inclusive to all.

What’s the difference between alcohol-free & non-alcoholic drinks?

Alcohol-free beverages contain 0.0% ABV, while non-alcoholic beverages contain less than 0.5% ABV. Our menu includes both so guests can choose what feels right for them.

What are functional cocktails?

Our menu features a functional cocktail section crafted with brain & body-supporting adaptogens, nootropics, nervines, kava & hemp-derived CBD. Most functional cocktails are crafted with botanical spirits that are 0.0% ABV.

What are free-spirited cocktails?

Our free-spirited cocktails are inspired by classic cocktails and crafted with non-alcoholic spirit alternatives that often contain trace amounts below 0.5% ABV. Unlike our functional cocktails, they do not contain adaptogens, kava, CBD, or other functional ingredients.

Why is it called Good News?

Our name was inspired by Mac Miller’s song “Good News” and reflects our belief that meaningful connection, community, and celebration don’t require alcohol. It’s a reminder that even in difficult times, good news is possible.

Can I book the space for a private event?

Absolutely. We host private parties, corporate gatherings, celebrations, community events, and more. Reach out to our events team and we’ll help create an experience that fits your vision.

Do you offer mobile bar services?

We do! Our mobile bar brings the Good News experience to weddings, corporate events, festivals, private parties, and celebrations throughout San Diego and beyond.

What is Circles Club?

Circles Club is our membership program designed for our biggest supporters. Members receive discounts, exclusive tastings, special events, and other perks while helping us grow the alcohol-free movement in San Diego.

Can I purchase bottles to go?

Absolutely. Our bottle shop features spirit alternatives, dealcoholized wines, non-alcoholic beers, bitters, functional beverages, and more so you can bring the Good News experience home with you.

Do you host events?

Do I need a reservation?

No reservation is required. Seating is first come, first served.

Do you sell gift cards?

Do you offer the same menu for morning & evening services?

Our morning menu is available Tuesday thru Sunday, 10am-4pm. Our evening menu is available 4pm-10pm/12am. In the mornings, we offer fresh baked pastries, coffee, tea, espresso and morning cocktails. After 4pm, we transition to the evening menu and offer small bites, cocktails, beers and wine.

Do you offer food?

We offer a rotating & seasonal variety of freshly baked pastries delivered daily from SPLIT Bakehouse and San Diego Baking Co. Vegan + GF options available during our morning hours.

We offer a Small Bites + Wine Flight Menu available 4-10pm daily. Think marinated olives, whipped goat cheese, tinned fish and chocolate truffles.

For a full dinner, we encourage you to explore the many amazing restaurants in our neighborhood before or after your visit.

Do you offer Free Wifi & is it okay to work-remotely on a computer?

Yes, we do! We have many regulars who love to work-remotely in our space. In fact, our booths are equipped with outlets. All we ask is that you be courteous of your stay, and support the space with purchases during your stay.

Are kids & dogs allowed?

We are an 18+ establishment. While we adore your little ones & furry friends, we do not allow kids or pets inside the bar. Both are welcome in our outdoor seating section. Service animals are allowed inside.

Do you have board games?

Yes, we do! We have a huge variety of board games, card games, and classics available to enjoy while you sip, stay and play.

What are your house rules?

We are an 18+ establishment. No outside food or drink. Service animals only. No vaping, alcohol or drugs. Please be respectful of our staff, guests, and community.
